THE WILL TO SURVIVE (2018)
A persons inner will to survive makes them move. Feet move and walk many miles, each bringing a new experience.
They take us on life's journey. Barbed wire tangling the feet indicates the suffering and captivity of war, hinting that even once it ends individuals are still bound by its traumatic experiences. I wanted to capture the lingering sense of captivity that lasts even once the fighting ends.
These experiences impact us but we still keep going. We keep moving forward.
We must.
